Smoke Under The Bonnet!

A Customer came in with with a Volvo XC90 that looked like a very serious problem, Smoke coming from under the bonnet with a strong smell of burning oil.

We quickly identified the problem to be the the inlet manifold gasket (which also acts as the rocker cover gasket) to be leaking directly onto the the injectors, with the heat the injectors get, this would cause a large amount of smoke and the smell of burning oil.

A few hours later the customer was back on the road with no more oil leaks or plumes of smoke from under the bonnet.
